LAB FAB fashion show hottest ticket in town
Inverness Medical’s hilarious ‘LAB FAB’ catwalk show drew large crowds at the IBMS Congress. Hosted by the outrageous ‘Brü-not’ the shows, which he described as “geek chic” played to packed audiences several times each day.
Members of the Inverness team took to the catwalk to model a range of ‘tongue in cheek’ takes on the traditional white lab coat including ‘Joseph’s Technicolour Labcoat’, ‘The Inverness Highland Fling’ and the popular ‘Only Gay Lab Coat in the Village’.
Marketing Director Stuart Cassey explained that whilst ‘LAB FAB” was devised to inject some light entertainment into the exhibition, there was a strong link with the company’s approach of looking at traditional pathology services in a different way.
“Our approach to diagnostic services is changing and on our stand this year we were asking delegates a simple question “if you were the patient, what would you want?
We took the Lab Coat as a representation of traditional methods and gave it a new look to illustrate how the company is taking a new look at delivering pathology services”.
